Jeffrey O. Thames, Sr.
Chief Strategic Officer
of George Leventhal for Montgomery County

Jeffrey has proven to be a game changer in the world of politics and community activism.  His “grass roots” approach to tackling complex issues, in the simplest way, has made him a go-to guy for many elected officials, and business owners, across the country.  As a United States Marine, he learned the meaning of demanding work, and dedication, and it’s those values that he continues to employ daily.  As Chief Strategic Officer, he will be responsible for ensuring that George’s vision is reaching all residents of Montgomery County, and working with individuals that feel they are not being heard.  Mr. Thames, has served as a member of the prestigious Ronald V. Dellums Commission, Montgomery County Precinct Official, Former District 5 County Council Candidate (2014), Chair of the Criminal Justice Committee for the NAACP Montgomery County Branch, PTA President for Cresthaven and Roscoe Nix elementary schools, President of Hope Restored, Inc., and associate minister at Norbeck Community Church.  Mr. Thames, often referred to as a “Maven Networker,” will be an asset to our campaign, as we strive to see George become the next County Executive of Montgomery County, Maryland.  Mr. Thames, lives in Silver Spring with his wife Chandra, and their five children.
